Why then not note it on the bill as "tuned to A440 +3c" and the =
average Joe will be none the wiser.

"...lands at +3cents, I notate that on my "tuning record" card AND =
the bill."

Yeah, so do I. And in this case I would note A441 - for the average =
Joe...... ;-)

Farrell said: "But yeah, for the =3D
average Joe down the street, I usually float the pitch (if it is =
sharp) =3D
and simply indicate the closest whole number hertz value on the =
receipt"
      Terry,
There ya go again! Using my name, (and Goss'), in vain! TSK!
I do things a bit different. I usually am shooting to 440cps, dead =
on. However, we all know the darned things don't cooperate. If the final =
pitch, (AND I hope ALL of you check the pitch when you are Done!), lands =
at +3cents, I notate that on my "tuning record" card AND the bill. This =
information also goes into the client's data base, for future reference. =
(the darned cards grow legs!) Also, I note the temperature at the time =
of the tuning, so I have an idea what's occured to make the piano sharp =
this time, etc., etc. Works for me & the client(s)
      Best Regards,
