CA glue for jack tender repair

Yes, (sigh), CA Glue does permeate/swell the wood! However, just the =
simple fact that the wood swells is not enough to make the joint solid. =
Yes, I have had failures with CA, hence my reluctance to use it for =
action part repair(s). Plus, it's not the proper way to do it, IMO. The =
failures I experienced were due to shear stress factors. CA will not =
work well in these instances. Proven fact. Even the manufacturers of the =
stuff agree on this. As for CA messing up a glue joint with some other =
glue is still unproven. The combination of White glue and CA has been =
used by many. The moisture in the White glue "sets" the CA. As for =
TiteBond, I suspect the same applies. However, if the TiteBond, (or hide =
glue, for that matter),  is already set, then I don't think the CA is =
going to have any affect on it. The jury is still out on that one.<G>
