Mostly from customers who TELL me what other tuners (one in particular)
charges, (having inquired by phone) and that's one way; obviously they're
comin' to me instead, so when i get 5 such calls, that kinda tells the
story. Another way is I talk to other techs and they tell me about losing
"tons" of possible clients because they refuse to lower their $180 tuning
fee. I probably end up with a fair amount of them. howabout your claim?

><<I charge more than most all of my competition, and they don't
get as much
>buisness as I do, no less five times more. I guess it's the old supply
and
>demand, if your phone rings off the hook ,you're worth more, than if
you're
>having to beat the bushes for customers.

>How do you know how many jobs your "competition" is getting
compared to
>you? Do you see their books, or do you all compare notes every week? I'm
>just curious.
