I have the foredom. Had it for years. The belt, reversible motor, =
speed control and all. Haven't used it much. The problem is that the =
belt slips off when reversing. That is guaranteed by the design. A =
belt will slip to the low side of a pulley and ride to the high side =
when turning. The pulleys need to be crowned. Even a six inch belt =
sander is crowned in the center of the roller. I was going to modify =
mine but I now use the turkey slicer. I've learned how to use that =
effectively. By handling the body I can favor either side or the strike =
point. The body needs to be rotated and pushed side to side to clear =
the fuzz or it loads the paper and clogs. I do use the paddle for =
finishing and more so in the treble. Works for me.

Anybody want to buy a foredom hardly used?

      Hi Dale,
The advantage with the Fordom is that the motor can be reversed =
eliminating most gouges?
