Matthew,
I have a cradle and have not used it for years,
I either use the straight action props that Pianoteck sells or most =
often for hammer shaping use blocks of wood under the action brackets to =
fet the hammers rest on the rail so that my TRAY can be used to gang =
file the hammers.
Most actions will stand on their own to replace the straps. Those that =
do not I do in the piano.

  Yo Ho Everyone!

Is there another way to support the action other than in the cradle? =
I want to practice hammer shaping and bridle strap replacement, and I =
don't have a cradle yet.

  Thanks!
