I assume you are not a rebuilder. I've removed tuning pins from pianos, =
that have had the sandpaper shim treatment. These were tighter than the =
ones without. And, I know that the shims had been in there "for =
ever"!<G> Although I dislike this kind of shim, it does work. I don't =
like the idea of inserting "rock" into the pinblock!<G> I prefer Walnut =
shims.
