Richard: You're becoming a real pain in the ass. Yes, I meant to say that. I don't expect you to see things my way, just don't twist what it is that I am saying. This thread began with my simply saying that it might be in peoples' best interest to sample various hammers or styles of hammers when replacing hammers because some may sound better than others depending on the piano. You have twisted this into a debate about which is better, a lacquered or unlacquered hammer. I never made that claim. I use various types of hammers depending on the piano. If you want to use only one kind of hammer, you have my blessing. I find that one hammer does not fit all. I leave it for others to decide for themselves. Once again I see you resorting to these kind of tatics. There is simply no reason to get all rude on people like this just because you dont like the fact that they see things differently. There is no face to loose here, and discussions are just not important enough to start accusing people as you once again do above. I am indeed sorry I dont see things your way David.... but I'll be damned if I or anyone else deserves to get accused of simply pissing because of it. I stand on what I have said on the subject from a purely proffessional standpoint, and I most certainly am not alone or in poor company in taking that position. Sorry if that ..... er... disturbs you. RicB _______________________________________________ pianotech list info: https://www.moypiano.com/resources/#archives
