Key Weighting?

Hi Joe

Not that simple.  The ideal touchweight kinda relates to the idea  
balance ratio... Stanwoods strikeweight ratio.  Personally, I like the 
feel of a 5.5-5.7 ratio set up for a balance weight of 38 grams, and 
10-12 grams of friction.  This is fairly standard methinks and works as 
a one size fits all setup. 

I'm not sure pianists are the right ones to ask unless you can seperate 
between touchweight and response.  Most pianist I talk to seem to be 
relating more about the response of the instrument when useing terms 
like <<heavy>> and <<light>>.  

Just a few thoughts.
