Rick,
    Celluloid is a plastic and was offered by Pratt & Read  Co. in Deep =
River Ct. (whom made most of the keyboards for domestic manufacturers =
until the 1960's) as early as 1892. It was considered inferior to ivory =
and therefore was used mostly for fronts but many sets of tops were made =
also.

she was told that they were original. I thought plastics didn't come =
into play(pardon the pun) till around the late 40's.=20
