Okay you guys, stop strutting around  with your damper protection.
No one has got the answer yet, although Conrad is actually correct about the 
auxiliary (transition) (third) bridge.

I discovered something odd when I opened back the top and saw that the edges 
of the top did not line up......"gads, something horrible has gone wrong 
here!". It took a few seconds to dawn on me that the long side runs at an 
obtuse angle to the keyboard. You will notice the wedge shaped filler 
between the left side shelf slider and the rim and thus the left cheek is 
also wedge shaped.

"Case" closed....uhmm.....
