Looking for New Client Software

Could some of you tell me the necessity of having invoicing in the client software program? I can understand the need for invoicing, expenses etc. and keeping track of them but none of the "piano tuners" business software do anything but keep track of income. Why would I want to keep track of that in two programs? i.e. I have to have a resonably powerful accounting program to keep track of my company, such as Quickbooks, Money, what have you. It seems to me, entering all that income info into, for instance ExecuKey, and then having to re-enter the income into Quickbooks is a waste of time...? Please explain where I'm going wrong on this....
