Hello Greg. When I face that problem (wood doesn't take stain well), I don't hesitate to sand the pannel to bare wood (120 grit sandpaper), re smooth the surface (up to 800 grit) and re stain after. Regards. Stéphane Collin. It does not seem > to want to take stain or especially dye. What do I do?
