I have it here at my desk.  It was only 1/2 a paragraph in John Patton's
half-page.

"We have also recently started using a new plate pattern for the scale
B.  As a result we have slightly changed the cabinet dimensions, the
treble bridge bevel and contour, and increased the interior cavity
width.  As we continue to make changes we will update you."

I think I read very recently in a mailing from Steinway that the NY S&S 
B had recently incorporated some "scaling improvements" to address this 
issue. I can't find a copy of it (a glossy 4 or 6 page bulletin with 
tech tips from Kent Webb, John Patten, Eric S. et al.) right now though 
-- anyone else have it on their desktop?
