Follow-up: Looking for bookkeeping software

Using Quicken 2005. It's great but it IS a little different than earlier
versions --- and I've been using Quicken for maybe 12-15 years, now.

It's not worse, it's better. BUT it does take some relearning and does more
so is more complex. I think the comments you are reading are typical of
people who get used to one thing and then have to change--some of that
happens with every new Windows version, for example. Besides HAPPY people
aren't typically the ones who get motivated to post those comments.

Quicken (and QB) are VERY popular with many, many individuals and small
businesses using them, and CPAs who recommend them.

There is a reason for that. Fear not!

Thanks to all for the bookkeeping software suggestions. I have finally had
some time to investigate them and find that both Quicken 2005 and Quickbooks
2005 are pretty much panned on Amazon.com. Both have received only one star
with a grudge and the people submitting comments all yearn for much earlier
versions. MS Money 2005 doesn't far much better. So, knowing that results
may vary, what problems, if any, have you people experienced with this
software. Has anyone upgraded to 2005 versions?
