Hello Dave.

I don'tunderstand the situation.
Why do they want to close the lid of the piano ? To get less or more =
sweet sound ?
But then, why do they want to mike it ?
Kind of non sense to me.
In my world, miking is needed when you want more volume, often at the =
expense of quality of sound.
Or, you can mike a closed lid piano to set it in balance with other =
instuments.

I'm sure I miss something.

Subject: Piano microphones - lid closed

I have a church customer who has been mic-ing their Yamaha C3 with =
several large mics on booms. Now they want to have the lid closed and =
still mic it.
Has anyone seen or used an internal mic system, either under lid or =
under piano? They have heard of a system with a small bar with several =
small mics.

  Thanks. Dave Smith
