Tools: Who Needs 'Em

Susan, Susan, Susan ... tsk, tsk, ... have you never multiple-folded a
piece of paper and used it as a mute? Have you never taken a large pencil
eraser and cut or filed it into a wedge? Have you never taken off a sock
and jammed it between the strings? Now THERE's a pretty picture for the
customer to walk in on!  Well .... me neither, but I thought about those
things when I forgot my tuning kit. Fortunately, I had a felt strip in the
truck.

Now I only buy felt socks.
