Kawai CA-40 tuning problem

Hello List
Thanks for the ideas. This is what makes the List GREAT!!!
There's only one good thing about the impact driver - and that is the huge
"bits" they employ. For great torque and sensitivity these same "bits" can
be used in a hand brace. NO! There's another use for the impact driver -
when I was dismantling a two manual pipe organ prior to cleaning it up and
re-assembling it at 90 degrees to its former postion and up high on a new
organ platform I was very glad I had the impact driver to undo those screws
which had not been turned for over a hundred years. At that time (here comes
a useful tip or three) I applied the old organ builders trick of "before you
try to undo an old wood screw, first tighten it! You'll find this then
breaks the bonds of age and removal is easier. Something to do with the wood
fibres in the screw hole all going in the direction the screw was last
turned.... if you follow me. The second tip... (this is good!) Always, if
possible, re-use the old screws! The rust on them will help keep them in
place! AND on initial removal soak them in a bucket of paraffin (white
spirit sort of stuff) to get rid of unwanted dust etc.
Apart from this try sourcing 4" x 26 c/s slot head screws - or larger....
Regards from that Windy Sussex Village
