Well, since no-one answered my query, I'll try myself... The deverdigrising of the glued on flanges seems promising. I blasted 'em with a can of brake cleaner, then carb cleaner, using the red pipette to direct it into the flange bushing as well as I could, from an angle between them. ( Wearing a carbon filter mask, gloves and goggles! ) I would have tried the brake cleaner alone, first, but I only bought 1 can of each ( dumb ) and ran out before the whole line of thingees was washed down. The idea here was to solubize the gunk, so it would wash out, or permeate the bushing cloth diluted and uniformly, away from the pin. Initial results seem very promising! After using up both cans, I wagged the mounting board for several minutes so the and doohickies mounted to the flanges would swing, and squeeze the disolved verdigris out, or into the cloth. Y'all might think I'm a sissy here, but the hospital is not paying me a lot to get this thing going. If I can avoid making a Mylar (TM) pattern of all these flanges, then heating them off, re-pinning and regluing them, trying to match the tracing, I guarantee y'all 100% that I will ! Thump P.S. More tomorrow, when it's all dried out. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
