I responded to Kent Swafford and he answered me. I sent the post below to 
Pianotech, but I haven't seen it appear yet:

Kent Swafford email me privately and said:

I hate to hear stories like yours, but all the booths were sold. A few 
exhibitors without notice failed to appear when we opened the doors for 
setup on Tuesday, and Renner aborted their exhibit in the middle of setup.

Terry,
A short note to Shawn Bruce, with a cc: to Barbara Cassaday, would give
them a heads up on this missed opportunity, and perhaps a mistake like
this won't be made in the future (really, they *do* improve on their
mistakes, if properly notified).
