Dear Mr. Pebworth,
I have been restoring players since 1970, and by
the time I was 20 Harvey Roehl himself was referring
me to clients in 3 states to have their reproducing
pianos rebuilt, after contacting the Vestal Press.
My standards are very, very high. My pianos are
"Bosendorfer-neat" when completed, can be pumped with
one pinky-finger on one pedal ( and play very nicely )
and have sold for $18,000 to $22,000
( regular foot pumpers ).
So it may not make sense to categorize me as one
of the "butchers" we all run into, in this biz.
I simply asked a question. The last bunch of
leather I ordered wasn't very uniform and leaked
plenty, and my manhood is not decreased because I
would like to use materials from non-murdered sources.
It is increased.

     Sincerely,
     Thump

P.S. Thanks for the Chickering parts !
