Tom was my mentor at Berklee College in the early eighties. He was a beacon of straight thinking in an atmosphere of jazz vanity. I still hear Tom saying: "...a good technician always steps on the damper pedal before putting in the temp strip!" And, he used to say that leaving perfect unisons on C88 was his trademark. I still think of him every time I finish a piano. Many concert techs in the Boston area owe something if not many things, to Tom, whether they were taught directly by him, or by those who learned from him. He will always be remembered as an inspiration and example. THANKS TOM !!!!!
