Oak is a very stable/strong wood. You can use it for making various jigs, stands for power tools & blocks for installing caster trucks, etc. I certainly wouldn't throw it away. If all else fails, it's a very good wood for the wood stove, (which I have.<G>), and Bar-B-Q! (RIBS!<G>)
