This is an interesting thread.  Terry's comment about the butchered =
rendition of Liebestraume is worthy of note.  There are many pianists =
whose dynamics sconsist of  'loud' and louder. =20

About 10 years ago, Brian DeTar from Yamaha came down and did a voicing =
class in Phoenix.  During the class he told the story about a dealer who =
had a buyer for a nice Yamaha grand but the action kept making the mans =
wrists get sore.  The man wanted the piano and was willing to buy it, if =
there was some way to lighten the action. =20

Brian juiced the hammers and the piano sold. =20
