If the hammers are in good shape, yank a few off and junk the rest of =
the piano (assuming it is DOA of course). When started in this business =
I started to make a good stockpile of used parts from actions, etc. I =
think I filled about three boxes. I still have the three boxes.=20

Ooops, I take that back - I had an art student from the local university =
call asking for piano parts and I gave her a set of keys and =
hammers/butts - she made some kind of free-form art creation with it. By =
far, the best destiny for those old action parts. But I still have the =
two boxes!=20

Unless you have a lot of art students calling you for parts, don't save =
much from the old beast - you'll just waste shop space.

  I have a friend who wants to get rid of a Wurlitzer Spinet. I already =
took a look at it. I was thinking I can use it to stock a good supply =
of spare parts. Would this be a good thing to do for myself? If so, =
what exactly would you all recommend I stock? (Hammer heads, whippens, =
etc.)? Or are there only certain parts I should take?

  Thanks!
  Matthew
