Let-off Buttons

There is a flat spot on the bottom of the rail, but if you back the =

off to where the old button falls off and then hold the new button =
against
the bottom of the rail and start the screw with a combo handle let-off =
tool
inserted into an electric screwdriver or light cordless, you can get =
them
started pretty straight.  Let go of the button and let it take a few =
turns
to see if it's rotating square-assuming the screw isn't bent. =20

I know that there was a thread a while ago on how to install new let-off
buttons  to get them on square, but has anybody got a trick on how to =
get
them square on Steinway grand rails?  They are not flat on the bottom, =
so
holding them tight with your fingertip does not guarantee having them =
start
on straight.  Any ideas?
