Any first year rebuilding apprentice knows, only too well, what "Chipping" is! Sheesh! Your method was abandoned by most in the mid 50's, to "Pitch Raise" a piano. It's unnecessary and a pain, to do such, IMO! Methinks, the PTA should, possibly join the 20th century. There is a whole world of Piano Technology, outside of the UK, ya know.<G>
