I talked to Nolan this morning. He is well but has no power. A major line from the power plant is down so the whole area is out. He has a generator and is able to run the small airconditioner at night during this hot weather. He said they drove about 100 miles to Lafayette to get some gas. The local stations don't have power to run the pumps. However, there are no shipments coming so when they empty their tanks that will be it for a while. Nolan said they had some downed trees but no flooding. The future of piano service business doesn't look good when people don't have homes to put the pianos in. He didn't know about other LA techs except for Dave Doremus who had gone to Florida. He said he couldn't make contact again because Dave had a New Orleans cell phone and the whole area code seems to not work. Nolan and family are in better shape than many and have food and water. He commented on how bright the stars were when there are no lights. Ron ---------------------- Ron Berry Piano Service Indianapolis, IN 46220 317-255-8213 ron@berrypiano.com http://www.berrypiano.com
