Katrina

It's easy to talk about compassion when you are spending someone else's
money. The government stealing 40-50% of our wealth and redistributing
it for corporate welfare and vote buying is not compassion. Advocating
policies that lead to higher taxes is not compassion. I will gladly help
clothe and feed people. I will not contribute any money to help anybody
rebuild below sea level. The politician buying votes with your money
will.

I admitted I was too cold in my tone. Mea culpa, again. But don't talk
about compassion unless you are willing to voluntarily give of your own
money out of your own pocket to help out. I've already given my first
payment and my challenge to all of you, especially those taking me to
task (which I did need, thank you), is to step up and give your own
money. If you already have, God bless you.

And people stupid enough to live where it freezes, or
there are droughts, or earthquakes, or volcanoes, or
mosquitoes......
Life on Earth is not safe. But if we have no sense
of compassion we are failures, IMHO.
