Removing old Damper Underfelt S&S'A'

Michael,

That sounds like a very long process.

I found that soaking the felt with vinegar, which in turn soaks the 
under laying hide glue, will disolve the glue enough, the felt will 
usually peel right off.

I've also used this process for antique pump organs.
