I am going to attempt my first stringing job with a palm nailer (done many the traditional 2 lb hammer way) and need an explanation of how to modify the tip to get the proper pin height. Someone touched on this at one of the rebuilding classes in Rochester, but I wasn’t at all clear about it. Pictures would be nice, and any other info on procedure and things to watch out for would also be greatly appreciated. The piano is a small Baldwin grand, model E, and the palm nailer is a cheapy from Harbor Freight, but seems to work alright. Thanks, Bill Costanzo -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
