yamaha spinet

Hello again,

The spinet is a 1969 model and is in pretty good condition with a good
sound, though it has not been maintained regularly over the years. The rod
on the backside of the fallboard runs the full length of the lid and then is
connected to a one-piece brace at each end which runs on a pin in the
keybed. There is not a jointed brace that falls into a hole and is screwed
to the inside of the piano. The rod is similar to an Acrosonic fallboard
rod. (I think that is the right piano!) Perhaps there is a screw under the
cheek block area that, if removed, would allow for some movement. However,
the wooden dowel support pieces are still in the way. Still looking for the
right answer.

Thanks in advance.

Robin
