Brass rail conversion

I didn't make the groove, that is how I bought them. Unfortunately, I don't remember when.
I might even have got them from Tuner's Supply.
I just remembered having some, and when people were talking of the brass rail conversion, I just assumed that these would be the flanges used.
They are very similar to Pianotek's, Asian flange, without the cord.

  Why didn't you use this type of flange?
  It would give a more supported fit. 
  The rod in a normal flange, looks like it doesn't support the flange, allowing a side to side movement, of the hammer.
