Brass Rail to Wood Flange Conversion

Corel Draw. Import the jpeg, draw a box over the flange side, 
another for the wire, an oval at the wire end. Diddle to fit, 
fill in the desired colors, overlap in correct order to hide 
the ends of the "wire" rectangle, export as jpeg. Crude, but 
quick. Took about five minutes and saved 1000 words that I'll 
use elsewhere.

In some cases, computers really ARE useful.
