Is this really true? You mean you can't type the division sign in 
Windows XP? Ten years after Windows 95? If so, this kind of malarkey is an example of why some people prefer Macintosh. How in the Sam Hill can a company with the brain mass of Microsoft not figure a way to allow use of the division sign that has been available since Remington made typewriters? Is it possible nobody asked? Uh, I don't think so ...
