John,

I'm here at the convention, and have seen the book. It's a compilation of
the writings of some men from the past, and also has some of Del's notes
interspersed. I didn't look that carefully, but a friend of mine thumbed
through it and gave me some details. Perhaps I can look at it in the Exhibit
Hall and let you know more later.

I see on the PianoWorld forum that this classic is available in a new
edition. Apparently, for years, it could only be had in photo-reproduced,
reduced size, etc. This has been remedied by Del Fandrich, and can be had,
either through him or the PTG store (I don't see it online yet, though), for
$45, plus s/h. What specific topics does this book cover? Useful for a
newbie?

Thanks
John
