I have to make a correction to my original post. It came to my attention that I do not have a New Octave Global hammer. I have an extension hammer that came from Vandaking. Sorry for the mistake - I ordereda bunch of stuff at one time and was confused about what came from where. My opinion on the steel extension hammers (excepting any that don't flex like the one I have) still stands. My preference is for a very stiff lever. When the budget supports it, I am sure my kit will have quite a collection of hammers. Someday I want to try an impact lever, too. For those that use the Fujan lever, what setup (head angle, tip length) do you use to tune grands? Right now I am using the 5 degree head, and was wondering if I will need something different when I evetually get to put a lever on a grand. Thanks!
