Gee, that was fun. Nothing like a little controversy to spice up the list <G>. True one: Old chick quarter g with really(!) soft pinblock, unstable, low bass untuneable; customer has young daughter who plays amazingly well; finances very limitied. Installed DC, some help. Dumped in a prodigeous amount of CA. Four years later and I am still tuning the piano very satisfactorily every six months. Between the CA and the DC, I can always tune it sweetly in one pass, it hardly drifts at all. Other stories I have, too, and oh, yes, I'm a believer!
