Hi Arlie,
I use my flush side cutters to remove the square composit nut then install
the new grommet with a Kimball tool that they have  #60.
Even though the wire end usually is crud loaded the last set seemed to go on
in spite of the wire end condition.
I did use an electric screw driver as all my tools are minus the combination
handle end and are 1/4" hex drive.
