Fw: v-bar/capo repair (& bridges)

Hi Roger,

I've tried glue, but find the couplers far easier to use and I have better
success in blocking specific undesirable partials, with moving them around,
than the glue method. Have you tried the Pitchlock Couplers?

Hi Jeannie,
A little dab of whit glue on the forward duplex
string length, will alter the pitch and quiet them down significantly.
The duplex will still speak, but will not be 'killed. Far more effective
than weaving felt or tape through the section.

I agree with Ed. I've "saved" a few pianos with them. And if they don't
help in a pinch...well, nothing much will, short of killing the tone all
together with some other method.
Here's the website. http://www.pitchlock.com

out samples or not. It wouldn't hurt asking.

Barbara-

Of everything proposed, putting Pitch Lock couplers on the front duplex is
the simplest, fastest, easiest and easiest to reverse. If they work, they
work, if not, it cost you 5 minutes, and no harm done to the piano.
Pictures were posted in the Journal a year or two ago.

If you don't have any, e-mail me and I'll send you a few.
