Thanks for hammer hardening suggestions

The acetone probably won't make them brighter.  I have used it to make the
felt denser overall adding a bit of power but mostly underneath.  I would
try pounding the hammer with a small hammer and polish the top of the hammer
down to 600 grit sandpaper first.

           I would like to thank eveyone for helping me with the hammer
dilemna. I ironed the 10 or so hammers out and they are brighter. There are
only two notes that need more drastic measure. The lady wants those
brighter, so I am going to try some acetone on them.
