Terry: I'd be willing to offer him $6500 assuming no hurricane damage or termites. I did ask him today (the pastor of the church) if he had any set price in mind. He said he didn't. I told him I would post the availability of this piano and see what happens. I suppose the thing to do would be to make an offer if you are interested. I haven't looked at the piano in about two years. My recollection is that the case is in fairly good shape (ebony) and that many would rebuild it with the original soundboard - but of course, that would not make it a great piano. It would really need a new soundboard to be great. Call me if you wish. Maybe what I need to do first is take a run down there (its only five miles or so away) and look at it again. Maybe take a few pictures. I'll try and get out there the first part of next week. Terry Farrell ----- Original Message ----- Seriously, what do you think they want for it? What's the case like? You did give them a very low appraisal, right? I might be interested, then, if you don't beat me to it. :-) David Love davidlovepianos at comcast.net -----Original Message----- A client of mine wishes to sell a 1973 S&S model L. This is a Teflon S&S and the piano has been in a church for many years and has had the stuffing beat out of it. I had given them a proposal for a complete remanufacturing of the piano a few years ago. The action shakes and rattles like a bucket of bolts and it has a prominent killer octave area. Anyone interested in this good salvage condition L? They are looking for best offer. Terry Farrell -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
