Dealing with non/slow payers

I like and second Randy Potter's idea about informing other local piano technicians about the accounts that don't pay.  In the musician's union, there is what is called a "Do not perform for or with" list.  If a club owner or band leader stiffs someone, their name goes on this list and stays on the list until the member is paid.  It worked surprisingly well, especially for habitually irresponsible night club owners.  Maybe this is something we could enact nationally but control locally?  (Not every chapter has a website/newsletter.)  Just a thought . . .
