Denatured vs ethanol alcohol

Steer clear of Everclear (sorry). It contains a slight amount of citrus
flavoring that might gum up the works. Stick with denatured alcohol from
the paint store. Try to find some denatured with iso-propyl alcohol, instead
of gasoline or methanol. Much safer.

I've heard 'Everclear' works well for easing action center bushings.
(probably eases techs well too)

Greetings,

Is denatured alcohol the same as Ethanol alcohol that is available
in drugstores? ...or so I use straight stuff from the state liquor store?

Thank you,
