Bob asked: "Got it, thanks a 1.5 million.
I am assuming that the Xzylol, although it's a
thinner, doesn't bother the plate finish, right? We
use acrylic urathane (basically car paint I think) and
Wurdack's Steinway gold bronzing powder."

Bob,
Hmmmm?!! It may effect that finish! Since I use plates that have been finished with Lacquer, I've seen no problem. I have noted a problem on the String Numbers that I coat with Varathane, however. I'd test in an area that will not show to be sure. If it does affect the plate finish, then you are back to square one. However, if it were me, I'd just Drive, (force fit) those puppies and be done with it, in that case. Seems to me that the difference of the bushing and the plate holes was not much. Wood does compress ya know.<G> Especially that "cheapie" wood that our beloved suppliers use for bushings. (Balsa wood? perhaps?)
