compressed air hard pipe

I've seen this discussed before but would enjoy knowledge shared on this subject. I'm finally going to put my compressor outside (along with a dust collector) and hard pipe it into the shop. 150lb is the max pressure. I've heard not to use pvc. Thanks in advance to all for responses on this subject of what kind and size of pipe to use.
