1. Download TuneLab (there's a free trial period). Compare that with the Katsura or any other doesn't-measure-harmonicity-and-doesn't-compute-a-stretch software. 2. Then, if and when you decide to buy an ETD, get other people (chapter members) to show you and, hopefully, let you try out their Accutuner, Verituner, and Cybertuner. 3. Compare features and benefits of those ETD's as well as the TuneLab. 4. Then look at the investment cost differences, not forgetting the laptop or pocketPC you'll need to run TuneLab or the software versions of VT or CT. 5. THEN decide.
