Vari-Lux progressives most of the time - there is no problem with the 
peripheral vision on these, but they are expensive.

2 pairs of single visions, one focus at about 3 -4 feet, the others 
at about 1 1/2 feet.

No glasses works at about 1 foot

Drug store glasses for the really close stuff - I bought a pair that 
lets me focus at about 3-4 inches.
