Hi,Mark! Here is a simple solution and repair far superior then "RUBBER GROMMETS".. Take 2 pieces of leather or buckskin a little wider then the width of backcheck strips,lay them across in the pedal rod hole in the pedal,press fit with pedal rod,trim with the razor blade-you are done.The leather or buckskin will outlive any rubber and will never sqeak.This repair is also applicable on Steinways and many Asian pianos.
