I wasn't that organized but did something which will last forever. I cut a "sort of" circle out of shoe-sole leather and put in the bottom of hole, then lined the sides with a thinner leather. les bartlett houston -----Original Message----- From: pianotech-bounces at ptg.org [mailto:pianotech-bounces at ptg.org] On Behalf Of Isaac Sadigursky Sent: Tuesday, May 23, 2006 12:35 AM To: 'Pianotech List' Subject: RE: Horugel parts Hi,Mark! Here is a simple solution and repair far superior then "RUBBER GROMMETS".. Take 2 pieces of leather or buckskin a little wider then the width of backcheck strips, lay them across in the pedal rod hole in the pedal, press fit with pedal rod, trim with the razor blade-you are done. The leather or buckskin will outlive any rubber and will never sqeak. This repair is also applicable on Steinways and many Asian pianos. Try it-You will like it..Let us know how it works.. Best of luck.. In particular, the grommets at the base of the pedal rods. Thank you Mark's Piano Service -- No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
