been in
the same heated/cooled home all it's life. The bridge pins and strings
where they cross the bridge were rusted, bad. No rust of any sort
anywhere else. Four strings were broken and missing when I arrived, the
rust had severely corroded the strings at the bridge crossing and very
wild strings everywhere due to the poor termination.

Anyone run across this before on a bridge only?"

Mike,
I'd suggest asking the Client if anyone uses DMSO. This stuff can cause
what you have described. I've had two incidents of such.
